Community Guidelines

Stepo is a place to share your day-by-day progress and cheer each other on. These Community Guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed so that everyone can feel safe and encouraged. They apply to everything you do on Stepo — your posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, profile, username, and messages. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Breaking these guidelines can lead to content being removed, features being limited, or your account being suspended or terminated, depending on the severity and context. Some violations — such as content that endangers children — are reported to the appropriate authorities.
1. Be respectful
Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. Don't use Stepo to:
- Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten anyone.
- Attack people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation (hate speech).
- Encourage others to harass someone, or coordinate "pile-ons".
- Post content intended to demean, shame, or humiliate a private individual.
2. Keep it safe — no violence or dangerous behavior
- No threats of violence, calls for harm, or glorification of violent acts.
- No content that promotes, organizes, or praises terrorism, violent extremism, or hate groups.
- No promotion of dangerous activities, weapons-making, or illegal goods (including drugs).
3. Protect minors
We have zero tolerance for content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any sexualized depiction of a minor — whether real, edited, or generated. We remove such content, terminate the accounts involved, and report to the relevant authorities. You must be at least 13 to use Stepo.
4. No adult or graphic content
- No pornography or sexually explicit content.
- No non-consensual intimate imagery, or threats to share it.
- No gratuitously graphic, gory, or shocking content.
5. No self-harm or harmful behavior promotion
Don't post content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a local helpline or a trusted person. We may remove this content and share supportive resources.
6. Be authentic
- Don't impersonate other people, brands, or organizations, or misrepresent who you are.
- Don't create accounts to evade a ban or to deceive others.
- Don't post deceptive manipulated media meant to mislead.
7. No spam, scams, or platform abuse
- No spam, repetitive content, or artificial boosting of likes, follows, or comments.
- No scams, fraud, phishing, or deceptive promotions.
- No malware, malicious links, or attempts to compromise the Service or other users.
- No scraping or collecting other users' data without authorization.
8. Respect privacy and intellectual property
- Don't share other people's private information (such as addresses, phone numbers, or IDs) without consent.
- Don't post photos or videos of others taken in places where they expect privacy.
- Only post content you own or have the right to share. Respect copyrights and trademarks. To report infringement, contact chaucao@chauapps.com (see the intellectual-property section of our Terms).
9. Follow the law
Don't use Stepo for anything illegal, including under the laws of Vietnam. Content that is illegal under specific local law may be reported through the in-app reporting flow for faster, dedicated review.
10. Reporting & enforcement
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, please report it using the report option on the post or profile, or contact us at chaucao@chauapps.com. You can also block accounts you don't want to interact with.
We review reports and may remove content, apply warnings, limit features, or suspend or terminate accounts, taking context and severity into account. Where reasonable and lawful, we will let you know when we take action against your content or account, and you may contact us to ask us to reconsider a decision.
11. Changes
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are material, provide additional notice within the Service.
