Data & Account Deletion

Stepo is operated by Chau Apps Company Limited. You can delete your Stepo account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how. If you signed in using Facebook Login, deleting your Stepo account also removes the data we obtained through Facebook.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the Stepo app and sign in.
- Go to Settings and privacy → Account → Delete Account.
- Review the summary of what will be deleted, then re-authenticate and type the confirmation phrase to proceed.
Your account and personal data are then deleted immediately and permanently. There is no grace period and the deletion cannot be undone. Your sign-in is removed as part of this, so you are signed out everywhere. If you want to use Stepo again later, you will need to create a new account.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email chaucao@chauapps.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request, and we will complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile and account information.
- Your content — steps, journeys, photos, videos, comments, likes, and follows.
- Data obtained through Facebook Login, if you used it.
What may be retained
We may retain a limited amount of anonymized or de-identified records, and information we are required to keep for legal, safety, security, or accounting purposes, for the periods permitted by applicable law (including the laws of Vietnam). Backups are purged on a rolling basis.
